Effective and carefully-considered Brochure Design

Our five steps to a Brochure

Step 1
Conversation and Briefing.

We will ask about your business, your product or service, to get an understanding about what you are offering and, very importantly, to whom. We’ll talk about why you want a brochure and how you want to use it, what you need it to do for you. You can also tell us if you have anything particular in mind, be it colour, images, shape or anything else.

Step 2
The Brochure Design.

We’ll put together our ideas and produce designed layout visuals that we feel fulfil all the necessary criteria, both obvious and subtle. We will create designs which have the correct tone and presence.

This will also likely be when we will assess and organise the information content and construct a page count plan. We will then present our ideas with an explanation of our thought process.

Step 3
Brochure Artwork.

Once the design layouts, colours and styles are all agreed, we’ll plan and schedule the artworking process. This is the process of working with you on text content and images, and sourcing content if we need to. This will firm up what will go on each page and will determine the final page count.

Step 4
Proofing & Amending.

We can send you PDFs to proof at any time. Obviously, everything is simpler if brochure proofs are sent in entirety rather than different parts here and there, but larger brochures or catalogues can be worked in sections.

You will have all time and number of proofs you need to ensure you are totally happy with what is finalised.

Step 5
Printing & Finishing.

Once artwork is complete signed off we will handle the printing and finishing of your brochure. We can get paper samples and page count mock-ups so you can see the exact size and bulk before any ink is put onto paper.

If you are not planning on printing your brochure, we will produce PDFs perfectly optimised for emailing, uploading to your website or any other use.
